The questionnaire is redesigned considering many factors together. The definitions of international standards were taken into consideration and adapted to the Turkish circumstances through the UNDP/ILO Project while questionnaire is being prepared at the first stage. In addition, new concepts have also been aimed to be measured with the questionnaire. Modifications on questionnaire have been planned in order to reflect changes in time, and to produce internationally comparable data.

From 2004, questionnaire was revised in order to provide variables requested by Eurostat for gathering detailed information about labour market. For this purpose, the number of questions was increased. The Labour Force Survey questionnaire was re-examined by working together with an expert from the International Labour Organization. In this study, some questions which are found unsuitable for country situation were dropped out, and improvements were made in the wording of some questions.
