Exports increased by %24,8 in November 2012
According to the provisional data, produced with the cooperation of Turkish Statistical Institute and Ministry of Customs and Trade, in November 2012; exports increased by 24,8% and reached to 13 829 Million Dollars and imports increased by 12,5% and reached to 20 986 Million Dollars compared with November 2011. At the same month, foreign trade deficit decreased from 7 571 Million Dollars to 7 158 Million Dollars.
Calendar adjusted exports increased by 13,1% and imports decreased by 0,3% compared with November 2011. Seasonally and calendar adjusted exports decreased by 2,5% and imports increased by 0,7% compared with previous month.
In November 2012 exports coverage imports was 65,9% while it was 59,4% in November 2011.


Exports to EU increased to 17,8% in November 2012
As compared with the same month of the previous year, exports to EU were 5 816 Million Dollars increased by 17,8%. The proportion of the EU countries was 42,1% in November 2012 while it was 44,6% in November 2011.
In November 2012, the main partner country for exports was Germany with 1 219 Million Dollars and increased by 11,1%. For exports, Germany was followed by Iraq (1 094 Million Dollars), the United Kingdom (939 Million Dollars) and United Arab Emirates (813 Million Dollars).
For November 2012, the top country for Turkey’s imports was Russia (2 270 Million Dollars), records for imports range from China (2 097 Million Dollars), Germany (2 010 Million Dollars) and Italy (1 202 Million Dollars).
Vehicle other than railway are forfront in exports according to chapters
For November 2012, “vehicle other than railway or tramway rolling-stock, parts thereof” has by far the highest value exported at 1 354 Dollars and then, “precious stones and metals” (1 201 Million Dollars), “boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof” (1 140 Million Dollars) and “electrical machinery and equipment” (887 Million Dollars).
At the same period, the top categories for imports were “mineral fuels and oils” (5 330 Million Dollars) and then “boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances” (2 469 Million Dollars), “electrical machinery and equipment” (1 700 Million Dollars) and “iron and steel” (1 540 Million Dollars)
