Monthly change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) was realised by 0.42%
A rise in general index was realised in CPI (2003=100 based) on the previous month by 0.42%, on December of the previous year by 3.06%, on same month of the previous year by 6.13%, on the twelve months moving averages basis by 7.66% in April 2013.The highest monthly increase was 12.75% in clothing and footwear
The indices rose for hotels, cafes and restaurants 0.79%, for recreation and culture 0.71%, for education 0.61%, for furnishings and household equipment 0.44%, for health 0.33%, for housing 0.16%, for communication 0.16%, while the indices declined for transportation 0.63%, for miscellaneous goods and services 0.89% and for food and non-alcoholic beverages 1.30%. Hotels, cafes and restaurants (8.97%), communication (6.85%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.83%) were the other indices where high increases were realised.The highest monthly increase was in TR61 (Antalya, Isparta, Burdur) (1.17%)
The highest increases in CPI were recorded in TRC2 (Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır) region (3.91%) compared with the December of the previous year, TRC1 (Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Kilis) region (7.53%) compared with the same month of the previous year and in TR10 (İstanbul) region (8.21%) on the twelve months moving averages basis.
In April 2013 within average prices of 437 items in the index, average prices of 63 items remained unchanged while average prices of 247 items increased and average prices of 127 items decreased.Consumer Price Index (2003=100), April 2013
