Monthly change in PPI was realised by 0.88%
A rise in general index was realised in the Producer Price Index (PPI) on the previous month basis by 0.88%, and on December of the previous year basis by 4.43%, on same month of the previous year by 6.23% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 3.58% in September 2013. Monthly changes were -2.78% in agriculture and 1.58% in industry
PPI of agriculture decreased by 0.36% compared with December of the previous year, by 3.66% compared with the same month of the previous year, and by 2.17% on the averages of twelve months basis. PPI of industry section increased by 5.37% compared with December of the previous year, 8.26% compared with the same month of the previous year and by 4.77% on the averages of twelve months basis. PPI monthly increased by 1.78% in the index for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 1.48% in the index for manufacturing and increased by 2.58% in the index for electricity, gas and water.
The highest rates of monthly increase in PPI by sub divisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum (6.10%), for office accounting computing machinery (3.49%), for crude petroleum and natural gas production (3.38%). On the other hand indices declined for medical, precision,optical instruments (-1.45%), for publishing and printing (-0.81%), for wood products, except furniture (-0.71%).
In September 2013, within average prices of 788 items in the index; average prices of 147 items remained unchanged while average prices of 499 items increased and average prices of 142 items decreased.Producer Price Index (2003=100), 2012-2013
