Confidence for services, retail trade and construction sectors decreased
The confidence index which was 104 for services, 109.4 for retail trade and 79.2 for construction sectors in previous month became 103.5, 103 and 78.3 respectively. Retail trade confidence index decreased by 5.9%
The decrease in the retail trade confidence index stemmed from the decline in business activity-sales expectation over the next three months sub-index by 10.5%, business activity-sales over the past three months sub-index by 5% and current volume of stock sub-index by 1.9%. Construction confidence index decreased by 1.1%
The decline in the construction confidence index stemmed from the decrease in total employment expectation over the next three months sub-index by 3.5%. The current overall order books sub-index increased by 1.9% compared to the previous month. Services confidence index decreased by 0.5%
The decrease in the services confidence index stemmed from the deterioration in demand-turnover expectation over the next three months sub index by 4.9%. Business situation over the past three months sub-index and demand-turnover over the past three months sub-index increased by 2% and 1.8 respectively compared to the previous month.The next release on this subject will be on November 25, 2013.
Sectoral Confidence Indices can take value between 0 and 200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
