Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.14% in September 2014
A rise in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 0.14%, on December of the previous year by 6.43%, on same month of the previous year by 8.86% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 8.54% in September 2014.The highest monthly increase was 1.78% in education
In September 2014, the indices rose for hotels, cafes and restaurants 1.21%, for miscellaneous goods and services 0.72%, for housing 0.49%, for health 0.42%.The highest monthly decrease was observed by 2.44% in clothing and footwear
In September 2014, the indices declined for alcoholic beverages and tobacco 1.12%, for communications 0.05%.The highest annual increase was 14.43% in hotels, cafes and restaurants
Food and non-alcoholic beverages (13.95%), health (9.37%), furnishings and household equipment (9.25%), recreation and culture (8.64%) were the other main groups where high annual increases were realized.The highest monthly increase was 0.42% in TRC2 (Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır)
The highest increases in CPI were recorded in TR10 (İstanbul) region (7.06%) compared with the December of the previous year, TR31 (İzmir) region (9.74%) compared with the same month of the previous year and in TR31 (İzmir) region (9.23%) on the twelve months moving averages basis.
In September 2014 within average prices of 432 items in the index, average prices of 64 items remained unchanged while average prices of 274 items increased and average prices of 94 items decreased.Consumer Price Index (2003=100), September 2014
