It was estimated that crop production will increase when compared with previous year
Increase was expected in the production of cereals and other crops, vegetables, fruits in the second estimation of 2017 with rates of 3.2%, 1.9% and 10.7% when compared with the previous year. Production quantities of cereals and other crops, vegetables, fruits in 2017 were predicted approximately as follows; 67.4 million tonnes for cereals and other crops, 30.9 million tonnes for vegetables, 21 million tonnes for fruits.

It was estimated that cereals production will increase in 2017 when compared with the previous year
It was estimated that in 2017, cereals production will increase with a rate of 3.3% when compared with the previous year and approximately become 36.4 million tonnes.
It was foreseen that wheat production will increase by 4.9% to become 21.6 million tonnes, barley production will increase by 9% and become 7.3 million tonnes, rye production will increase by 6.7% and become 320 thousand tonnes, oats production will increase by 11.1% and become 250 thousand tonnes, when compared with the previous year.
In the pulses group, it was expected that an increase will occur in broad beans to consume by 8.1% and production approximately become 7 thousand tonnes, red lentil will increase by 15.9% and become 400 thousand tonnes, potatoes, one of tuber crops, will increase by 1.1% and become 4.8 million tonnes.
In the group of oil seeds, it was expected that soybean production will decrease by 15.2% and become 140 thousand tonnes.
It was estimated that tobacco production will increase by 7.8% and become 80 thousand tonnes, sugar beets production will increase by 1.8% and approximately become 19.9 million tonnes.
It was estimated that vegetables production will increase in 2017 when compared with the previous year
Vegetables production in 2017 was estimated to be approximately 30.9 million tonnes increasing by 1.9% when compared with the previous year.
When examining production of subgroups of vegetables, root and tuberous vegetables production was expected to decrease by 0.5%, vegetables cultivated for their fruits was expected to increase by 2.2% and other vegetables not elsewhere classified was expected to increase with the rate of 3.5%.
The production of some important crops in vegetables; increments were expected in tomatoes production by 1.6%, in watermelon by 3.1%, in pepper for processed, capia, by 16% respectively, while decrements were expected as 1.7% in dry onion, 1.1% in melon, 3.2% in green pepper.
It was estimated that fruits production will increase in 2017 when compared with the previous year
It was estimated that fruits production will be 21 million tonnes in 2017 increasing by 10.7% when compared with the previous year.
When examining productions of some important fruits, it was estimated that there is increase in apple figures with the rate of 11.7%, in peaches by 13.3%, in grape fruits by 2.7%, in apricots production with the rate of 34.9% respectively, while decrements were expected in cherries by 0.9%, when compared with the previous year.
In the citrus group, an increase was expected in mandarin production by 16%. From nuts, pistachios production is expected to decrease by 54.1%.
It was estimated that grape production will increase by 5%, and bananas production will increase by 14.4%.
