Consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1.49% in November 2017
A rise in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 1.49%, on December of the previous year by 11.16%, on same month of the previous year by 12.98% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 10.87% in November 2017.
The highest monthly increase was 3.77% in clothing and footwear
In November 2017, the indices rose for food and non-alcoholic beverages 2.11%, for transportation 2.01%, for miscellaneous goods and services 1.84% and for housing 1.25%.
The least monthly increase was in alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0.01%
There was no decrease in the main expenditure groups in November 2017. The least monthly increase was in alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0.01% amongst main expenditure groups.
The highest annual increase was 18.56% in transportation
Food and non-alcoholic beverages with 15.78%, miscellaneous goods and services with 13.39%, furnishing and household equipment with 12.85% and health with 12.38% were the other main groups where high annual increases realized.
The highest monthly increase was 2.62% in TRC2 (Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır)
The highest increases in CPI were recorded in TR63 (Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye) and TRB2 (Van, Muş, Bitlis, Hakkari) regions with 12.33% compared with the December of the previous year, TRB2 (Van, Muş, Bitlis, Hakkari) region with 14.38% compared with the same month of the previous year and in TR81 (Zonguldak, Karabük, Bartın) region with 12.42% on the twelve months moving averages basis.
In November 2017 within average prices of 414 items in the index, average prices of 47 items remained unchanged while average prices of 295 items increased and average prices of 72 items decreased.
