Internet usage of individuals was 66.8%
Computer and Internet usage of individuals aged 16-74 were 56.6% and 66.8% respectively in 2017. These proportions were 54.9% and 61.2% in 2016.
Proportions of male aged 16-74 using computer and Internet were 65.7% and 75.1%, while these proportions were 47.7% and 58.7% for female.
8 out of 10 households had Internet access
According to the results of ICT usage survey in households and by individuals carried out in April 2017, 80.7% of households had access to the Internet at home. This proportion was 76.3% for the same period in 2016.

78.3% of households had broadband Internet connection
In April 2017, 78.3% of households had broadband Internet connection. In terms of broadband connection types, 40.0% of households used fixed broadband connection (ADSL, cable, optic fibre, etc.), while 72.4% of households used mobile broadband connection to access the Internet. 73.1% of households had broadband Internet connection in previous year.
42.4% of individuals used e-government services
During the twelve months (April 2016-March 2017), 42.4% of Internet users among the individuals aged 16-74 interacted with public authorities over the Internet for private purposes. This proportion was 36.7% for the period of April 2015-March 2016. Obtaining information from public authorities’ web sites was in the first rank with 37.6%.
One out of four Internet users were e-shopper
24.9% of Internet users aged 16-74 bought goods or services over the Internet for private purposes. This proportion was 20.9% in the previous year.
62.3% of Internet customers bought clothes and sports goods, 25.3% of that bought household goods (e.g. furniture, toys, etc; excluding consumer electronics), 24.1% of that bought travel arrangements (transport tickets, rent a car etc.), 21.9% of that bought food or groceries and 19.0% of that bought electronic equipment (mobile phones, cameras, radio, TV, DVD player, etc.) in the last twelve months (April 2016-March 2017).
