Consumer confidence index realized as 65.1
The consumer confidence index calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous month. The index became 65.1 in December while it was 65.2 in November.

Financial situation expectation index realized as 84.8
The financial situation expectation of household index increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month and became 84.8 in December. This increase resulted from the decrease of consumers expecting deterioration in their household’s financial situation in the next 12 months period.
General economic situation expectation index became 87.5
The general economic situation expectation index which was 87.1 in November increased by 0.5% and became 87.5 in December. This increase resulted from the decrease of consumers expecting a worse general economic situation in the next 12 months compared to the previous month.
Number of people unemployed expectation index became 70.6
The number of people unemployed expectation index which was 70.9 in November decreased by 0.5% and became 70.6 in December. This decrease stemmed from the decrease of people expecting a decrease in the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months.
Probability of saving index realized as 17.5
The probability of saving index decreased by 2.9% from 18 in November to 17.5 in December. This decrease stemmed from the decrease of consumers who expressed probability of saving for the next 12 months period.

The next release on this subject will be on January 23, 2018.
In monthly consumer tendency survey, consumers’ assessments and expectations on financial standing and general economic situation, also their expenditure and saving tendencies are measured.
The consumer confidence index calculated from the survey results is evaluated within the range of 0-200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
