Agriculture PPI increased by 0.86 % in February
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture - PPI) increased on the previous month by 0.86%, on December of the previous year basis increased by 2.50%, on same month of the previous year increased by 8.98% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 12.37% in February 2018.
Compared to the previous month; agriculture and hunting products increased by 0.57%, forestry products increased by 2.97% and fishing increased by 9.13%,
The highest monthly increase was in non-perennial crops
Monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 1.43%, live animals and animal products increased by 1.10% and perennial crops products decreased by 1.80%.
The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups increased by 2.58%
From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for rice (in hulk) by 9.31, for sheep and goats, live; by 2.65% and cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds by 0.22%, however, there were decreases for citrus fruits by 3.33% and for poultry, live and eggs by 1.70%.
In February 2018, 86 items were included in the Agriculture PPI; while prices of 56 items increased and prices of 25 items decreased, prices of 5 items remained unchanged with respect to previous month.
